Our wonderful charter school does a ton of fund raising so our kids can take many field trips. I love going with the kindergarten class. They are the most fun. The first one we took at the beginning of this year was to a hands on museum. The kids were learning about their community and this museum had it all. Full size ambulance, police car and police motorcycles. A makeshift Wal-Mart store and bank, a Dr's office and a TV studio just to mention a few of the things they could touch and explore. Of course Thomas was enamored with the police motorcycle and I couldn't tear him away. We also took a trip to a working dairy here in our area. The kids were able to see how the dairy works, feed the cows and pet some baby cows. They all had chocolate milk fresh from the dairy and cookies to round off the tour. After the kids got used to the smell they had a pretty good time.
